This guide explains how to connect your Instagram account in Message2u so the platform can read and write Instagram Direct Messages (DMs) for your automations.

Prerequisites

Instagram is a professional account: upgrade if needed.
Instagram is linked to your Facebook Page: connect Instagram to the Page.
You can sign in with a Meta account that has permission to manage that Page and Instagram asset.

Connect the channel

Log in to Message2u.
Open Channels (or integrations) and choose Instagram.
Start the OAuth flow and approve Instagram messaging permissions.
Select the Instagram profile that matches your business.
Save the channel and send a test DM from another account to verify Message2u receives it.

Security note

Only grant access to trusted team members. Rotate Meta passwords and review Business Settings → Integrations if you disconnect Message2u.
